TopD, Juvat, how does MB Golden compare to Burley London (if you have tried both)?

I've heard a lot of people say that they thought London had a slightly sweeter taste. But to my tongue it was the opposite. Golden Extra was slightly sweeter to me with London having a bit more of an "earthy" taste to it. Their both really good though, but if I could only choose one I would go with Golden Extra.

Prince Albert and Half & Half. Never went for any higher end burleys, so not sure how they compare. Love the subtle sweetness of PA.

Smoke what you like; but with what, 5,000 blends available, there is no reason to buy anything made by Middleton.

I recently came upon Peterson Gold Blend. It's a Black Cavendish blended with Virginia and Burley. Very nice...mild with a wonderful room note. It's definitely worth a try.

I had some Half and Half here that I was not crazy about. It was sitting in glove box of my car for bout 6 months. The other day I dug it out and loaded up a bowl. Turned out to be a very decent smoke. I think sitting in the car and drying out really helped it alot.

+1 on Cumberland...Take your time, smoke slow, try in a few pipes...amazing stuff.
Solani Silver is nice as well

I have a tin of Solani ABF and I just cannot seem to acquire a taste for it. I just got a sample of Stonehaven in and I am really enjoying it. I have also started to enjoy Mac Baren HH Old Dark Fired, so maybe there is hope for me to become a burley lover.

Pipe Novelist, thanks for the offer but I am not giving up on it just yet. I have put it away to age and now that I am enjoying a couple of other burley's, I might really like this one in a few more months. I have learned over the years, not to give up too quickly on a blend because age does wonders and tastes do change. I really want to like it because it is such a beautiful flake and I like 2 other Solani products very much. If I don't enjoy it a few months from now, I will definitely give you a shout.

I'm not a big burley smoker but I did try Lane's Burley Light Without Bite (BLWB) and found it agreeable. I purchased it to use to blend with.
