What's a recommended pipe lighter?

Brad, those Electric Arc lighters have my curiosity as well, though I haven't gone through with buying one but the reviews look mostly positive.

If it does work well I might switch to those almost exclusively in the winter when most lighters stop working.

I've just been reading up on these plasma lighters and the many positive reviews are from folks who have just received their nice new lighters and are naturally delighted with them.
Given that they are almost certainly Chinese made, I wonder how many of those positive reviewers would be saying the same thing after a few weeks of use?
Many of the negative reviews were indeed for lighters that gave up the ghost after minimal use.
Caveat Emptor!!!
