What's the circle on the bowl?

Woodsroad got it- it's a growth ring...This was one of the really rare ones where the grain runs almost horizontally all the way around...It was very nice...

Hello all, I like Morta pipes , probably more a "variety is the spice of life" rather than they are superior smoking implements.

As to the question of do different Morta color affect the taste? Answer: not in my experience. Pipes shown are davorin, davorin, and Becker .

Zach nice pipe, Is Morta much harder to work with??

I find it to be quite neutral, especially good with VaPer blends and Orientals. It is lightweight, about the size of a Dunhill 3.

This one seems to favor Latakias, is a larger, heavier pipe, about a group 5.

The only way to know is to smoke one.

Oh man, an Author, that's my favorite shape. I don't think I've seen a morta yet in that style, looks amazing.

Gorgeous. What unique grain. I think I actually favour the younger/lighter ones aesthetically. I wonder what it's tonal properties are. I'd like to carve a telecaster out of some. haha
