I've been obsessively looking at pipes for awhile and every once in awhile I come across a series of pipes that look pretty cool where the designer tries to embody a particular set of characteristics. Like, for instance, Savinelli's Da Vinci Series. Each set of pipes is dedicated to a particular one of his designs and they pick a shape and finishing style to embody that. I really like that idea. Personally, I would love to see a series of pipes based on the planets of our solar system. Like a nice squat Bulldog with a ring for Saturn, a big Brandy for Jupiter. Is there a series you would like to see done like that? Whether it be Pipes or a Tobacco line or what-have-you

A series of gothic pipes would be interesting (I don't mean pipes shaped like skulls either; something that embodies the traditional gothic aesthetic).

I really like that idea perique. Might be a bit more affordable as a cob collection though...
What kind of aesthetic do you mean by that Sparrowhawk?
What about a rope tobacco for Dune? It would have to be a kind of Oriental-Perique combination for the "spice" aspect of dune, the rope for the Dune Worms. Might be a bit gimmicky though...

I really like Larryson's tree bark series pipes. I'd like to see something more mechanically similar to the Nate King steampunk pipes but I must admit those aren't really my style.

Roth mentioned the Peterson series pipes. I've always been a fan of the Great Explorers series. Gimmicky, sure. But we all have out weird niche interests.... I mean, who wouldn't want a pipe names after Ernest Shackleton??

Peterson did an authors series of pipes. It was neat, but none of the shapes made much sense to me, nor did the seemingly random choice of authors. I think a different take on this would be neat. Maybe it'd be possible to do subseries for English/British and American authors. Perhaps limited to ones who smoked pipes? There'd still be more than enough to work with.

I also like the tobacco dedication idea.

Honestly, I'd most like to see an old school no frills small bowled straight billiard. Sleek, thin stem, and light with a wide open draw. Something like the Stanwell 107 which is hard to find. We need more pipes like this! Dunhill makes many pipes like that, but out of my budget.
I don't care for freehand designs or anything too heavy as I'm a clencher and carry my pipe in my pocket.
