I would never want that in my own collection, but it is the kind of piece that I am glad someone bothered to create. I enjoy something unique, even if it is outside of my own narrow aesthetic inclinations. I bet it finds a home with someone who loves it.

While beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, I think it is kind of creepy and even repulsive. Sort of an out of control fungus. The briar carved to look like a cob on the newest estate page at SPC, on the other hand, is really stunning. Along with a stunning price.

I have a pipe from this carver, and it is among my best smokers. While the visual aspect of a pipe may not be appealing to all, if a pipe smokes well, what more can you really ask for? Of course, we know there’s more to a pipe (whether justifiably so or not!) than just how it smokes...but I can at least vouch for the smoking properties of this brand.

Based on a single pipe that can be said of any brand. I've had a fair share of duds from popular makers.
