What Type of Activity is Pipe Smoking?

I never looked at pipe smoking as a "Hobby", although I'm sure there are those who do. Pipe smoking to me is just another way to smoke tobacco. It's not a habit for me, like smoking cigarettes would be, although my wife would disagree. I'm trying to come up with one word to describe pipe smoking and it's difficult. I guess for the sake of this thread I would say, "Pleasure".

It's an occasional pleasure for me. Most of my time is taken up with work and family so chances to just sit and relax for an hour can be few and far between. My ability to smoke is also very weather dependant, which doesn't help.
This means that, while there are some days where I manage to squeeze in multiple smokes, it's far more common for me to go weeks between lighting up a cigar or pipe.
