So I have cellared a load of Peterson Early Morning to store as I really like this one.

Which blends are similar which I should try next?

I once tried Elizabethan Mixture that was okay...

I'm one of those guys who has tried a whole bunch of English blends, and they all taste more or less the same to me. So for me, it's a matter of finding the cheapest bulk option, and stocking up. It would appear you have done your own version of this with EMP, a real good one I also enjoyed.

Liz Mix....that's a VaPer. Lots of options there, from Stokkebye Navy Flake to Orlik Golden Sliced...the list goes on and on.

And everyone who likes English blends should have some Arango Balkan Supreme on hand, IMHO. Had to beat that one for the price point. Hard to beat that one period despite any price.

Kramer’s Father Dempsey is fantastic. As is Samuel Gawith Squadron Leader. In bulk, try Cornell & Diehl Mountain Camp or Cordial, both excellent blends.

Try Rattray’s Red Rapparee. EMP was too bland for me; RR was much tastier.

Another vote for Father Dempsey, and don’t overlook F&K Lancer.

If you like English G.L Pease Chelsea Morning is pretty good. Presbyterian is a pretty good one too. My mixture 965. I haven't had a ton of English, but these here are pretty good.

I don't mean to be rude by disagreeing with you, however buying a bulk English that was terrible is actually what drove me away from English. i definitely think some are way better than others. But that's just my opinion. Now as far as VaPer goes... I second the Orlik Golden Sliced. And I'd like to throw AC Escudo out there too.

I really wouldn't know about the older versions I've only been smoking a little over a year. I like Burley blends mostly. I like a little bit of everything if the mood is right.

Bayou Morning, Old Joe Krantz, Haunted Bookshop, and Riverboat Gambler and Pegasus. If you have not tried these yet, that's what I'd say to try next.

Find well liked and readily available examples of Virginias, red Virginias, virgina/periques, burley blends, Virginia burleys, virgina/orientals, etc and get a feel for each genre.
If you find you like a genre, then start trying more in that genre.

Exactly im just looking tp find different blends i like.

Go to Smokingpipes.com go to the tobacco search. You can select what ya want in a blend and what ya want to exclude. Mess around with that and you can find ya a little bit of everything.

I'm with Servant King, all english blends taste like Latakia to me.

I have a few pounds of Best of the Rest English, by Pipes and Cigars, put back.

To me it taste like basically any other english blend.. and I suspect it's another blend in a cheaper package.
