To prevent TAD, I have a rule; I only own as many different blends as I have mason jars; now of course, I could just buy more jars, but (somehow) I have more mental fortitude than that. Anyways, I'm about finished my Dunhill Flake, meaning I have a spot opening up. I'm open to pretty much anything. The current blends I own (not counting the Dunhill Flake) are as follows:
Capstan Navy Cut
Peterson Balkan Delight
Missouri Meerschaum Great Dane
Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman
Captain Black Royal
An aromatic from my local tobacconist
My personal blend of chocolate/mint

as you can see, I have plenty of aromatics and virginia blends. what else do I go for? maybe a nice oriental?

Since you have aromatics and Virginia’s, try some of the classic OTC’s. There’s really something special about a bowl of Carter Hall, Prince Albert, Granger — assuming you’ve never given these a go.

These should’t be overlooked by anyone. If you’ve already sampled these…. I’ve enjoyed Peterson University Flake. Solani. Burley London Blend.

Maybe Old Dark Fired or My Mixture 965 to broaden your Latakia horizons. These are also in the must try category

I'm definitely interested in the Balkan Sasieni; how forward is it with the oriental compared to the virginias? Having a few virginias/vaPers already, I'd rather have something that departs from that and goes for Oriental first, then latakia, then virginia.

My rule is the exact opposite...I buy all the blends I can up front and only then do I get to thinking about how many mason jars I might need. Thankfully most of what I buy are sealed tins, so I really only think about whether or not I have an empty and clean jar once I'm ready to pop one.

Balkan Sasieni would fit that bill.
There are numerous other Oriental-forward blends I also adore:

Rattray's Red Rapparee and Black Mallory
Peretti Royal
Robert Lewis Orcilla (a personal favorite)
Presbyterian Mixture (light latakia)
C&D Sunday Picnic (no latakia)
C&D Virginia Gentleman (no latakia, add burley, light oriental - another favorite)

Happy hunting! The name of the game is trying a few that grab your eye.

If your looking for a good oriental blend to try there are some great suggestions here

I really like oriental forward blends and suggest you try Tashkent. It has a fair bit of Latakia in it but I would not let that dissuade you. It’s a refined blend
And if you think you might like orientals it is a very good one.

There are several blends that you should look into from C&D, Stratfordshire, Cordial, Star of the East gold, and Habana Daydream.
