What to age in my cellar?

Dear fellow pipesmokers,
Which blends are particular popular to store away for ageing?
I have the impression that Virginias and English blends in general age well, but are there any blends that stands out when it comes to ageing???

Yep, agree Vs and VaPers, also English and Balkan blends work

best for aging where as Aros will only lose their flavoring over time.
Just some blend examples;

SG blends ; FVF, Bracken, 1792, St James, Navy, etc

Solani Silver Flake and Aged Burley Flake

Penzance

MC blends; X-mas cheer, holiday cheer; Tudor Castle, Blackwoods,

St James Woods

Peretti's Royal and Omega blends, London flake
And I could go on and on and on

Age something that's kind of Sharp that you would like to be more mild.

Escudo, Orlik Golden Slices, Mac Baren Old Dark Fired are a few I have in tins put away to sit. Also GL Pease Fillmore, and Telegraph Hill.
Collecting and cellaring tobaccos is a fun hobby by itself.

Anything VA/VAPER, or really anything with virginia should improve with age for up to 20-25 years.

Virginias will age well for up to 50 years from what I've read. Good ones to go with IMO would be FVF, BBF any of the Rattray's.

What everybody said. Latakia based blends with good quality Virginias will also age well, but not as well as Virginias or VaPers.
Good quality Virginia leaf is the key.

Very informative!!
I think herbinedave has a good point. The tobacco should be one that you like fresh, and that you imagine will get better over time.
I have tried FVF and BBF as well as Dunhill Flake fresh, and I will give some of those a go.
Also I just opened a tin on Dunhill Night Cap this evening. This stuff is probably the best smoke I have had so far smoking the pipe!!! It's really amazing.
Does anyone have hands on experience with aging Dunhill Night Cap?

Man o man...I can't seem to let a tin sit for more than a year or so. I do have some Samuel Gawith Best Brown waiting for me for about a year and half now, as well as a couple tins each of Dunhill EMP, 965, and Nightcap...The Nightcap is going on three years old and I swear that one winks at me every time I look at it!

I have a nine year old tin of Nightcap and two ten year old tins of Penzance that I get tempted to open, and some day I will. Nightcap seems to mellow only slightly over time. I suppose the Penzance will, too, but I don't know that first hand.... yet.

There are a few baccys I would consider aging and BLUE NOTE is now one of those! What a wonderful baccy to have around and smoke daily. It is robust with my kind of flavor. Being a fan of aromatics and smooth taste I have to say that this is excellent along with a bit of Anniversary Cake (Home and Hearth). I would stash both away for the long haul and IMHO think it would gain some insightful flavor as time passes.
