I purchase mainly tins so $10-$15 each. Cigars I usually spend $8 but occasionally up to $15.
I wait until SPC has a 15% off C&D bulk sale and I load up. I think I end up paying $35/lb.
Is that the highest C&D gets discounted? And what which time of the year do these normally happen?
I think that’s the most it gets discounted. I believe it happens around quarterly but don’t quote me on that. Mac baren usually has a 15% off sale as well if you’re into their tobaccos. It feels like C&D sales are quarterly at SPC with an occasional spike to 20% off.

One day I will revisit that glorious state.
I buy 3 or 4 tins a month from my B&M here locally to help keep them in business, and I order some bulk blends from the internet from a few different places.
I keep my eyes open for sales and deals too...and watch out for timely releases from Watch City Cigars, L.J. Peretti, Iwan Ries, and The Country Squire.
I'm retired Military on a fixed income the same as many others are, and I only spend $8 to $15 for tins I want, (as a rule), with an occasional tin or two a little more...
I just had to figure out how much to budget for my "want" purchases and save for anything over that budget.

Good to know! I stocked up a little with the P&C 20% sale but they didn't have the C&D blend I was looking for (Constellation). But I got half a pound each of 5 other blends for $100 so I’m happy.
I watch out for SP, TP, P&C, and The Country Squire. I didn't think about WCC but just signed up. I also ordered a number of 2oz bags from Wilke with their 20% sale that I stumbled up somewhere.

My main smoke—c&d dark burley—usually costs me around $2 an ounce. My splurge smoke—dark Birds Eye—runs about twice that.
SPC offerings are a little too high for me at $17-18 per tin online, though I bought one tin of Plum Pudding just to see what the hype is about. When I buy tins, I think that $10-12 is acceptable for good quality tobacco, and $14-15 is pushing it. (and let's be honest - there's a lot of stuff sold in tins that's more pouch-grade than tin-grade).
