For me it was straight stems, rustication, and billiards... now I have several straight stemmed pipes and a couple billiards. Have even bought a few rusticated pipes lately, and they seem to be growing on me.. Just had to get past the way they felt in my hand..

Bulldogs and pots. Especially didn't like pots. But I found a Charatan's Make pot in a shop, and saw it as my chance to own a Charatan (long before eBay). It has become one of my favorite pipes, as well as a Brigham pot I won on eBay. Also, I have taken a shine to Peterson bulldogs, especially the 150. Now those ugly acorns...

I own several bent and smooth style pipes. I've never had any interest in either a straight pipe or rustic. Just got my first rustic/ straight pipe in the mail (figured I might as well give both a go) and was blown away. Smokes like a dream and I have to say the rustic finish is growing on me. Provides a better grip and I'm not as worried about gunk from my fingers showing on the pipe. I can definitely see myself reaching for a straight pipe more often.
