All my pipes are in pipe racks.

All my racks but one I made myself.

All my pipe filled racks sit in my antique pipe cabinet.

Once a pipe has been smoked it is cleaned, wiped off and returned to it's place in the rack.

My pipe cabinet is very close to my favourite chair so all my pipes are close at hand when needed. :puffy:

I guess none of mine are within easy reach, because they're all in my pipe cabinet. Most of them are in pipe racks. There are a few that are on individual stands.

3 Racks hold 26 pipes

1 Oom-Paul and 1 churchwarden in individual stands

Small travel case holds 3 pipes

2 pipes bang around loose in the truck

Drawer hold 6 pipes I don't really like, 2 Meershaums in cases and 3 broken pipes

Mouth holds one of the above.

Around 30+ in 4 racks.

As mentioned by huntertrw above, I'm also contemplating storing some pipes in drawers because of the lesser chance of oxidation for ebonite / vulcanite stems. However, I really love to see most of my beloved pipes on display instead, perhaps a weekly oiling routine will do the job.

I mean almost all (greater than 90%) pipes that are in rotation for use are on racks. I have stored away some readily smokeable used or unused pipes for some reasons, but then I tend to forget their existence.

All pipes sit in their socks, in their box in a chest of drawers. Keeps the odor down and keeps the pipes out of the eyes of babes!

None....up until a couple weeks ago, all of them. After reading one of the threads where a member mentioned keeping pipes in a humidor, I switched. I took pipes out of three racks and moved them into a 200 count humidor that I was no longer using for cigars. Works great.

I recently moved all my pipes and racks into a spare closet to get them away from sunlight, and I have noticed a substantial change in oxidation times. I have a couple pipes with a lower quality vulcanite that used to turn yellow / green as soon as the stem touched my lips. Now that they have been moved out of all light, this not linger happens, at least not to the same extent.

By the criteria listed at the beginning of this thread: 0%.
All are in racks in my tobacco cabinet. None are outside of it unless in active use.

Reporting back after starting this post a year ago, I can say all of my pipes are racked in a pipe cabinet, two open pipe racks, and a circular rack and tobacco jar inherited from my dad from his dad. I have a few slots left, maybe five, but I've become slower to buy pipes too. I'm enjoying the ones I own more, and feel more critical when I look at pipes for sale, since I have many of the options covered.

Gaining from the experience above, it seems to me that I shall consider storing my pipes in a wooden cabinet equipped with wooden doors: when in use, I can have a full display of my pipes, while closed, the pipe vulcanite stems are protected from UV and pipes are not shown to guests who do not want to see them.

I really hate seeing stems turning greenish because I at the same time am seeing how my fingers will potentially bleed with blisters after sanding them to restore their glory.

I have 47 briar and 1 morta in 2x24 space racks and 3 cobs in a little 3 pipe holder.
So tempted to buy another pipe but then that would require another rack. I have two unused 12 space racks but then I hate seeing empty racks so...
