Currently enjoying dark side of the moon on vinyl (the way it was intended) with a bowl of 3 nuns and glass of Jameson's.
Always a good choice. Just yesterday I watched the new Roger Waters' Wall movie for the first time. Thought it was very good. The updated stage production is quite elaborate and high tech...along with some documentary film interspersed throughout. Definitely worth seeing for anyone who likes The Wall.

Yeah Brian the Wall is epic. One of those albums I have to listen to completely from beginning to end. Sort of a bittersweet thing to me though since I feel it marked the end of the classic Pink Floyd era. Quite a beautiful swan song however. I almost feel like it was the first solo Roger Waters album. But none of that diminishes its greatness.

I agree completely JBC. Not all Floyd fans like The Wall, but I consider it a masterpiece. And definitely meant to be listened to in its entirety as a single thing. Also definitely all Waters...really the pinnacle of his work.
Amused to Death would be the other of his masterpieces but not as personal or as accessible as The Wall. I think Animals is really a Waters album too, and as good in its own way. The Final Cut of course was also all Waters, but not as good as those 3.

Hawky, copy the link directly from the address bar at the top of your internet browser. It doesn't work if you use the copy button in YouTube and I always have trouble if using the YouTube app on a mobile device. But if you copy the http link directly and paste it directly in you post it should work.

Thank you, I'll try it again when I'm at my computer!

Yes, and it all started with Syd. Poor Syd. I wonder how different it all would have been if he'd been able to continue.

Pablo Honey was good. The acoustic version of Creep always evokes bittersweet memories.
