It’s pure music. Almost otherworldly.„Pink Moon“ was one of my favourite records some time ago. I didn’t find it depressing, more so freeing me from my own depressing thoughts. „Bryter Layter“ is another one, a much lighter one, almost dancing. But the Pink Moon is his masterpiece. Really deep music. To sad that he committed suicide, which I believe he did, as many people do, when they suffer from depression.
I guess with that title there's really nothing else to say.One of only three instrumentals they ever did
I just discovered Chris Whitley a few months ago, (from his daughter in Black Dub with Daniel Lanois). Some amazing music.
