Currently listening to Jeff Beck ~ Emotion and Commotion, with a bowl of Margate in an Old Antiquari Castello 55.
Last album of the night is The Orb featuring David Gilmour ~ Metallic Spheres with a bowl of McClelland 40th Ann. in a Ryan Alden sandblasted Dublin.
mayfair, I bought this LP in 69-70, when I began teaching. I would use this to calm down after a day of wrangling and teaching inner-city 10 year olds. I damn-near wore it out. Thanks for posting, I thought I was the only one who knew about this recording. Here's another album I put on the turntable and cleared my mind, with a bowl of tobacco and a sip of Jack.

hobie1dog, because I have a large collection of opera and jazz 78s, I have a table I bought in the 80s from Esoteric Sound, a "Vintage Six Speed" belt-drive, with variable speed. It's no longer produced. I use it for both 78s and LPs.

I also use a Sony PS-T33, direct drive, I bought in the mid 70s, for LPs. I use Shure, Stanton and Ortofon cartridges.
And, right now, I was listening to Aliotta, Haynes and Jeremiah doing "Lake Shore Drive" a great song about Chicago.
