Listening to Sol K. Bright and his Hollywaiians, performing Sol's big hit, "Hawaiian Cowboy" from 1934.

You've heard bits of it in a Lexus commercial, but here's the whole piece, with some outstanding steel guitar work by Sol.

Found this little gem at a thirty store for $2. It has no scratches and all the original paperwork, even a booklet/comic with newspaper articles and pictures from Elton's early years.

^ Great find! :worship:
One of my all time favorites...stands out even among Elton & Bernie's classic years. There's a special vibe and aura to everything about that album...beginning with the artwork, which is, well, fantastic to say the least.
The deluxe CD package also includes a live performance of the entire album from beginning to end which was previously unreleased.

Lake Martin, AL
Warren Hill smooth jazz, smoking a new cob, drinking great black coffee and tying flies. Got to love the little things in life, the big things take too much effort.

@Mike: I bought that album shortly after it was released and poured over all of the booklet material a number of times back then. Unfortunately I no longer have it (long story).
The deluxe CD edition does contain the original booklets, but much of it is so small that it can't really be read even with a magnifying glass.
I have long intended to replace the LP, and your post inspired me to do so...I ordered one on ebay a little while ago that has all of the original material. Not quite as good a deal as you got, but it was only $7.99.
That was the golden age of albums...and CF was probably one of the best examples of how elaborate they could be. Some of these deluxe CD's that have come out in recent years would be much better if they enlarged the packaging to the original size. But at least in the case of CF the addition of the live recording makes it worth it, imo.
Currently listening to Steve Earle: Townes
Great one.

There is no God in Heaven and there is no Hell below

So says the great professor of all there is to know

But I've had the invitation that a sinner can't refuse

And it's almost like salvation, it's almost like the blues
