Tim Buckley (1947 – 1975), "Song to the Siren".

It is hard to believe what both Nick Drake (see some posts above) and Tim Buckley have accomplished in so few years of life. Both died very young at about the same age, but offered greatly to their Art (Music), influenced numerous others and made so many listeners grateful for their work.

"......
And you sang:
Sail to me
Sail to me
Let me enfold you
Here I am
Here I am
Waiting to hold you
......"

It's kind of eerie how Tim's son's life was so much the same. Jeff was an immensely talented songwriter, singer and performer. The one full studio album he got out before his untimely demise is a great one.

Probably a bit Cliche', but I really don't care. Just lost my last uncle.............that alone makes me feel old, but we were quite close. 83 years old, and a life well lived.
But the song I've had on repeat of late is George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass"............ Methinks it has some healing powers...............

Sorry to hear about your uncle Beef. Glad to see you back posting.

A Christmas eve favorite for me............
My Grandmother was from Bungay, England, and her son, one of my favorite uncles had the same gap in his front teeth that Ray Davies has............ my uncle alway said it was useful for "Straining his milk"............. :ROFLMAO:
Merry Christmas Everyone!.........
