I saw them in concert with Reo Speedwagon back in the day.

I also saw them in concert back in the day with the Who, Fleetwood Mac and the Crazy World of Arthur Brown at the Shrine Exposition Hall in L.A. The highlight, of course, was watching the Who smash up their instruments.

My letterbox rattled this morning with another great recommendation from Forum mod Al aka @ssjones.

This time it is Gov't Mule and their double CD & double DVD 'Bring on the Music: Live at the Capitol Theatre'. This band is totally new to me and I'm loving it so much it's on for a second time, the DVDs I'll try tonight.

Another recent purchase is Santana's double live album 'Jungle Strut' which I wonder if it might be an unofficial bootleg? Whatever, considering its age it's a great recording.

Disc 1 is recorded in Munich April 1971 and disc 2 is recorded in London (Hammersmith Odeon) May 1971. It is also the classic Santana lineup of Rolie, Carabello, Escovedo, Shrieve, Schon, Brown, Areas plus the great man himself.

My new floorstander speakers arrived today and after an almost 3 hour session unboxing & swapping out my old ones and setting up the new I'm now sat with a cup of well earned tea and trying them out with Paul Simon's wonderful 'Graceland' 5th Anniversary Edition.
