Dino, that was very cool. Art Blakey had that special eye for talent, much like Miles, he always kept a roster of top shelf talent. Musicians would stay a few years, then move on, often to lead their own bands and Art would always find a talented new guy to fill the spot and he kept the Jazz Messengers thriving and relevant for quite some time.
