@ Cortez: Scott Joplin's classic masterpiece, "Solace" is one of my all time favs when I'm in a contemplative mood and especially when I'm at war with this world that's beyond my understanding..... The plaintive, and poignant harmonies that flow effortlessly together connecting the four, masterfully written thematic sections, evoke a far more genteel era, that will never return. The underlying Tango rhythm, completes the mental picture. "Heliotrope Bouquet" also comes close.
The "andante" section of Clara Schumann's Piano Trio, and all three "andante" sections of Brahms' Piano Quartets can calm the savage breast of my inner beast, too.
