For me the Tsubota Pearl has been horrible, the springs for the tools are flimsy so you have them flopping around in your pocket and the top of the lighter mechanism has fallen off so many times I gave up using it.
Another is the Sarome, very finicky and I use no less than 5x refined butane and most often 7x refined all my other lighters work well with them.
The Z insert for Zippo lighters, the first one lasted 3 years when the piezoelectric portion stopped functioning so I purchased a replacement and it failed in 10 days, they replaced that and it shot a flame 1' into the air that wasn't adjustable, they replaced that and it won't ignite, I'm getting my money back and putting the aging Vector insert back in service.
What are your problem children?

I have a Zippo pipe lighter. Whenever I puff, the flame goes out. Bics never fail.

One of those WW one trench lighters. Really neat looking, useless... LOL, my lady got me one in a neat little cedar box. It should stay in the box... no, it needs to hang somewhere to be admired, not used.

I will never again buy the Z insert for Zippo lighters. Huge waste of money. I'm still searching for a decent pipe lighter but tend to just stick with the gas station Bic until I find something with a little more longevity.

IM Corona.
Let me guess....you were lighting a new Dunhill stuffed with Penzance while walking the plank in a thunderstorm when your trust old boy failed on you....
I smoke exclusively outdoors and I use an Old Boy. I just shield it from the wind.

Colibri lighters. The one I had never worked right. Sent it in to them, got it back, still wouldn't work.
