What Kind of Pipe Is It Really?

I've always called sitters like this one a Hunters Pipe. I've also been told that the long pipes with the Porcelain (or briar) bowls that I always called Tyrolean or Bavarian pipes are also called Hunters.

The only stamping is Bruyere Garantie so it could be French or it could be German.

Do we have a pipe historian that can name that pipe? (I've checked pipedia.)

awesome pipe. I think hunters pipe applies. From my understanding some of these names for older style pipes are much more regional. Like in Germany it's a blank and in france it's a German something pipe . Could be wrong but that's my current understanding of the nomenclature on that style of pipe. Sweet pipe either way.

That's a good question. The Swiss Style pictured on pipedia looks to be about the same style.

I'd say Hungarian also. Aren't Tyroleans mainly in porcelain??
