Could be... the tin I got from JFH was 3 or 4 years old and the flakes are maybe a shade darker than your BBF sample, but that could be just from the age. I take these with a grain of salt, but this is the manufacturers description on TR:

Developed with one of the U.S.A.'s lady smokers, FireDance is Our Best Brown 6" Flake subtly flavoured with a combination of blackberry, brandy and vanilla. The smoke is a mild, cool experience with the blackberry the predominant flavour, the brandy in the background and rounded off with the vanilla. A mild and fruity smoke with the strength of Best Brown and a very pleasing room aroma.
shit.. maybe mine was bunk it seems like brightleaf.

Not sure I personally would call it a good one but it's definitely high quality, consistent and not cigaretty... C&D Gentleman Caller.
They market it as being worthy of using as potpourri. Strong Deer Tongue / Bison Grass, non artificial vanilla, in both tin and room note.

To me the smell is close to that of Somali incense (frankincense) which I find almost nauseating. But YMMV and some people like it and it has quite cool tin art imho.

I'm going to have to try this one; with all this lockdown I'm missing one of the highpoints (for me) on Sunday of a high mass (full Latin and INCENSE)... ...1 out of 2 ain't bad and if my pipe starts talking to me in Latin I might question if someone's been tampering with my tobacco in the first place.

At one point I was looking for a tobacco that would remind me of the incense at Mass. I think it'll be a long time before I actually find it, but it will be fantastic once I do.

I've enjoyed the room note of C&D Visions of Celephais. Some however call it the Grape Ape. I am pretty new to smoking pipes too, and never had a cigarette habit to compare it to.

Here
At one point I was looking for a tobacco that would remind me of the incense at Mass.

A fellow next to me was smoking something that entranced me one afternoon, reminding me of that incense thing.

Upon inquiry, he revealed it to be Esoterica Margate. I immediately grabbed an available bag, which I've still not opened due to drowning in open tobacco currently.

Add it to da list!

I must be pretty weird as I open new tins weekly and I honestly cannot remember the last time I stuck my nose into a tin for the aroma. I open a tin, I grab a flake, I stuff it into my pipe and light up. I smoke for the flavor the tobacco gives me while in my mouth and in my nasal passages as I retrohale at times.
I know it probably seems kind of lazy or just don't care I don't take a whiff it just became a habit of opeing and filling and enjoying .
