What is your Pet Peeve????

1) Virginia drivers (responsible for 60% of all red-light tickets in the city - that's just to start)

2) Tourists that are unable to understand the concept of a cross-walk signal

3) Coach bus drivers who believe that they can use the bulk of their bus to force other vehicles out of their chosen path (on second thought, just the existence of coach busses is enough)

I was just reminded of another peeve- TV commercials. I'm so sick of virtually every TV commercial portraying men, or fathers, as either lovable idiots or braying morons.
We don't have kids, but if we do they'll treat me with respect regardless of what they see on TV. I'm pretty sure you can have fun with your kids without reducing yourself to the intelligence level of an infant.

Tired of having American men torn down, culturally. There has to be a better way to enact social change (which is their goal).
Tobacco: I am still pretty new, but the reviews thread in here is valid. If you don't like the first bowl, store it a few months and try again. it doesnt take long and will make for a more complete flaming review if you still don't like it.
I hated the SG/ 1792, but it is stored and I will try again with another pipe and a bit more age before I write it off, for example.
I also hate pipe snobs/tobacco snobs. Problem is, since I just barely know any of you, I have yet to identify one. ha ha.
Ignorance. Mostly my own. I wish I knew what you guys know. I am so new to this and there really are so many nuances. I read up on here, but I miss a lot. And i am more of a kinetic learner anyway, so it would be so much more productive if i had pipe smoking friends. My only one had to leave for a 2 year long posting within 2 weeks of me taking up the pipe lol.

I agree with Harris: Live and let live. But I ask the same respect for MY values, which have been under attack since about 1964. And no I am not opposed to Civil Rights. Sheesh.

It's a well know fact that you can fart in an elevator only when there are three or more occupents. Less than three and it ends up being a staring contest. At least till the doors open.

People who lie and say they severed in the military. I ran into a guy at the gym a little while back that was wearing a U.S.M.C shirt, I asked if he was a marine he said oh hell yeah. I asked him when he was in and where he went to boot camp? His reply was he couldn't really remember either? You can't remember? it changes you for ever! I've been out nearly 10 years and I can still tell you my boot camp platoon number and my damn drill instructors names its not something you easily forget. I asked him what he did for our beloved Corps and he said special ops, I can't tell you anything more,laughable and enraging as it was I kept my cool and said,"what ever dude, keep lying and saying your a Marine you might just get your ass kicked in the very near future" If you didn't serve then you didn't serve that's fine, the military isn't for everyone. He was just looking for attention and going about it a little dangerously.

I have had this happen. I misdialed, realized it immediately upon hearing the voice on the machine and hung up. A while later the guy calls me back and starts interrogating me as to why I called. I was less than pleasant in my response.
