I've been saying this for at least 20 years, and recently found out that Ed Sheeran stole my motto! :x

But actually, both Paulo Coelho and John Lennon were attributed with saying it in the 60's (well before I was born). Perhaps I heard it when I was young, and it stuck in the back of my mind.

Regardless, I still like it.
In everyday conversation, I tend to distill it down to something like "It'll work out," or "It'll be fine," or "She'll buff out," etc. Same sentiment.
