For ease of travel, packing on the go, and smoking any old time I like Gawith Hoggarth Kendal Dark. It's a shag cut tobacco and ready to smoke straight out of the jar, so there's no fussing about trying to rub out and dry flakes or slice a plug. Just stick it in your pipe however suits you and smoke it.

If strong dark fired Virginias aren't your thing though and you prefer bright and red Virginias then Cornell & Diehl Yorktown is another one that's ready to smoke straight out of the tin and easy to pack and light. Personally I'd rather have Gawith's Kendal #7, which is a mix of dark fired Virginia and bright Virginia for a more medium nicotine content all day smoke, but C&D Yorktown is certainly a very respectable option.

Lastly, for the aromatic I'd bring Captain Black Original because I'm a heathen and I love the stuff. 😅

When it's a grab 'n go, I'll grab Chatham Manor or 1-Q. I bought about a pound of 1-Q when I got back into pipes a little while ago and have been VERY slowly working my way through it...so I pretty much save it for times when I'm doing things or running around and still want to smoke and not have to pay attention to it. These days I need to be in the mood for an aro, but the topping has mellowed, so it works.

I save all the good stuff for when I can sit back and enjoy.

It depends. If I'm planning to smoke while I'm driving somewhere, I'll do something easy to pack and low maintenance like a codger or ribbon-cut bulk blend. If I'm going somewhere with the intention to sit and have a smoke, like a park, then I'll bring a more complex blend that I want to focus on and fully appreciate. In both instances I try to rotate the blends I take with me.

Usually Carter Hall. I picked up a bag of Smoker's Pride Classic Blend a while back and it's similar, but definitely lower quality leaf and with a weird top note. That in a cob has become my "grab and go" baccy when I want a smoke but don't want to think too much about it. Don't think I'll buy more when the bag is finished. I reserve my higher quality leaf for when I have the time and disposition to appreciate it.
If you feel like it, try “Our” Carter Hall made by Milan Tobacconist in Roanoke, VA. It’s fantastic.

I keep a cob and some tobacco in my truck at all times so I consider that my grab and go.
Usually it's either C&D Autumn Evening or a codger blend like CH or PA.
Lately it's been KBV Burley Morning Pipe, which is similar to the codger blends.

I don't want to think about it when I'm driving around town, I just want to enjoy a smoke
The aged Virginias or VaPers, Peterson Irish Flake, HH Old Dark Fired, and blends like that get enjoyed when I'm home and can sit and contemplate and really enjoy my quiet time.

Can’t edit my previous post so I’ll add it here. My grab n go for work isn’t a pipe. Always loose leaf chewing tobacco. Chew pre dates my pipe smoking by decades.

For grab and go I like to either just keep it simple with some Five Brothers, C&D Pegasus sounds like you might enjoy it and then either C&D Exclusive or some kinda Aromatic so that anyone around me likes the smell, but usually I'm smoking it for me not those around me.

For an easily prepared, time-limited smoke that stays lit, particularly when I'm up on the farm I generally have Peterson's Irish Cask or Robert McConnell's Scottish Cake with me. Crumble cake quick to pack, medium strength and not too distracting. Tabac Manil Semois La Volute would be a third choice if I actually kept any in a handy tin.
