What Is Your Favorite Quote or Motto to Live By?

Smoking some Balkan Blue in my Peterson St Patrick's Day 2016 pipe. And over my 46 years of living, I thought if I had to put a quote or motto about life's lessons? What's that quote that has stuck with you and one you can identity with.
The quote I try to live by is, "I am hurt, but I am not slain; I'll lay down and bleed awhile, and then I'll rise and fight again."

Previous post was my quote. Motto to live by? "Never pet a burning dog."(Edit: That means don't give well meaning advice. You will get burned and it doesn't help the dog.)
