I really don't do "Christmas" blends per say, I like Golden Days of Yore, Corn Cob Pipe with a Button nose, We Three Kings and Christmas Cheer. but I don't smoke them only at Christmas I smoke them pretty much year-round whenever I feel like it.

But I don't have a time of day or season blend either. I'll some Autum Evening on a hot summer afternoon Good Morning after lunch, or Early Morning Pipe at ten 10:00 pm if the mood strikes.

I have a little Christmas Cheer left, and as Red VAs go, it's second only to 40th Anniversary. But what was Christmas-y about it was marketing and timing. It was simply the best Red VA, and McC created an association between that and Christmas that didn't previously or otherwise exist.

As for aromatic mixtures designed to evoke existing yuletide associations, the two that I reach for every year are Boswell's Christmas Cookie and C&D's Jolly Old St. Nicholas. I don't personally enjoy Aros so much, but these two are better than most, and fit the season.

I have a tradition of smoking Christmas Cookie from a certain pipe while cutting down our tree every year on the first Sunday of Advent.

After revisiting Christmas cheer last night, it is definitely up there on my list again.
Would like to know of something very similar but haven’t compared much to it.

Wouldn’t mind picking up some more Christmas cheer of it at a decent price or trade in the future.

Better to have tried and loved then to have never tried it at all.

Anyones thoughts on C&D Carolina red flake vs Christmas cheer? I have never paired them side by side.

I’m a newbie and these threads make me sad with all the talk of great tobaccos I may never get to try.

I would love to know if there’s anything very similar to Christmas cheer.

Happy hunting...

My favorite Christmas blend by far is one that actually isn't holiday themed but tastes exactly the way my grandparents' house used to smell around Christmas time growing up; which is Samuel Gawith Cannon Plug. It's got this almost indescribable flavor that for me is a mix of the aromas of a Christmas tree, holiday scented Avon candles, spiced eggnog, and sugar cookies baking in the oven.

I've tried all sorts of seasonal blends from various blending houses, but weirdly there's just nothing that captures the aromas of the holiday season for me quite like Cannon Plug. Give it a try if you can! puffy

So the only Christmas titled smoked I've tried has been Mcclelland Christmas Cheer compliments of a fellow forum member. Its pretty good stuff. I personally like smoking A.C. Escudo for Thanksgiving and Christmas or special occasions. It's so dang expensive but it really is a special smoke.
