Thank you all for trying to help unravel this mystery. I believe it is definitely the word 'Omega' but I keep seeing the next word as 'Cen(n...?) I took another picture trying to show this word, below. I don't know of it is a Chacom second but even though I'm still not sure, the pictures of the other Omega pipes made me feel at least I'm in the right area. Thanks

Pretty good sleuthing! "Who Made That Pipe"" gives the following French source for Omega, Comoy-Verguet. The Verguet Freres factory closed in the 1970's and they produced pipes for GBD, which was owned by Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer Investments owned Chapuis-Comoy, and Chacom is the contraction for Chapuis-Comoy.
Cardogan and Oppenheimer were affiliated, so this pipe could have very well been made at the Verguet factory. Here's an interactive link to a page showing the very intertwined relationships between the French manufacturers and their English owners:

Heck, now I want to get it professionally cleaned/restored. Thank you for the excellent information. I looked at the diagram & got a little lost but learned a lot I didn't know before. It's all very interesting. So this would be a pipe made pre- or up until the 70's, maybe? I just wish I could figure out the 2nd word. Cen...t? I've done many Web searches for it but haven't seen another pipe quite like it. Still looking though. Anyway, I'm lightyears ahead in knowledge from where I was a day or two ago, thank you!

P.S. would it have been made with the stem looking the way it does (not fully connected?) The stem fits tightly, no issues, but it looks slightly, I don't know, odd fitting? I guess that is just part of the look of the pipe (?)

All good guesses, but one thing for sure is that it was made for export since it is stamped in English. I'd say "Century" is the best guess, since it also has an Oppenheimer/Chacom connection, if tenuous. La Bruyere, with whom the French Comoy merged to form Chacom, used the term, as did GBD. Still, only a guess.
Looking at the profile image of the pipe I can see the gap between the stem and shank that you're asking about and no, it's not typical. In the image the connection looks slightly off kilter. The Fleur-de-lis on the stem suggests that it belongs to the pipe, but to my eye it just doesn't go with it. Too big and wide where it meets the shank for such a graceful piece of carving.

Good suggestion but when I Google anything to do with pipes with the word 'Omega' in any combination with 'cen...'(tury...urion...tennial), Dr. Grabow Omega pipes come up. Being an American maker, I don't know if that is it. Still searching though.

When I was searching on Google, there was one site that came up that I could see Chacom... made in honor of the world fair, the event of the century... something like that. But I couldn't go to the site because my company has a block on any tobacco/alcohol sites. I am happy to be able to get here! I'll look when I get home.
Maybe someone stuck a nice stem in a Dr. Grabow? (Not really, of course.)

If you find that URL I'd like a link to it. Sounds like the 1933 "Century of Progress" world's fair.
More than likely the stem attached was just one pre-molded stem pulled from the stack. The acrylic stem looks like something made in the 1970's or later.

I've made many searches today & I've been unable to find the link I saw. I went back in my history & couldn't find it there either (too many links). Keep in mind I couldn't see the entire site, only a partial description, so it may be nothing. Sorry I can't find it.

ACK, it took me long enough & I *still* can't see the entire thing, but here is the website & link where it talks about the World's Fair and the pipe, etc. It almost looks like the same link to the Omega pipes information. I just saw it in passing while I was looking for info on my pipe. Sorry it took me so long to find this link again; been crazy busy and just finding it again took longer than I thought it would. Probably nothing, but saving this here will help me find it again when I get home (and can see the whole thing).

Nov 6, 2013 - (Right side) Algerian Briar, Made in France ... Chadhall pipes of French origin are obviously crafted by the same maker as Bayard, Omega, Thomas and Duke of Kent pipes. ... Pipe and stand seem to have been manufactured for 1933 Chicago World's Fair which theme was: "A Century of Progress".
