What is the sweet taste

That I am tasting in PS LBF? is this the Virginia or is it a topping of some sort. At any rate I like it.

A little of both, I believe. Natural Virginia sugars plus a lightly sweet casing. I don't think it is any flavour in particular but probably just a sugar addition of some kind.

The center is black cavendish.

If it has any age on it at all, it may simply be the natural sweetness of the Va. It doesn't take long for it to come out.

probably the cavendish - if you like it you might try Luxury twist flake. It might be a little sweeter even

If you enjoy LBF fresh cellar some. It gets even better with age, noticeably sweeter and fuller after a year.

When it’s young, the center of cavendish adds most of the sweetness. Give it 3 or more years of age and the Virginia’s really pop and it then has a wonderful flavor. I smoke it often and each year I buy a pound and put it away. I stated this 3 years ago and now I am able to enjoy it aged.

Yeah it's fresh, So it's probably the Cavendish then I guess. I did buy a pound and put most of it in mason jars.
Thanks for the recommendation for the LTF, I'll be putting an order in soon and I'll give that a try as well.
