I will say that I just recently purchased 5 tin of Samuel Gawith Bracken Flake that was purchased in 2011 by the fella I bought them from and this blend is absolutely stellar but I have reference of which to gave it with since I never tried it when it was still on the market. It is just freaking dreamy for those who love dark flakes with a bit of that traditional British sauce. Mmmmm Mmmmm, good dookie!

When I first started smoking a pipe a few years ago I bought myself a tin of McClelland Dark Star. It was very good. The taste was hay like, a little sweet, a little ketchupy. A forum member sent me some Dark Star from his own stash that had 17 years on it. With that much age it tasted like candy. It was so sweet. I thought that tastes like that were only supposed to come out of home baked desserts. The experience spoiled me from any tobaccos that were not superior. Needles to say, I began purchasing my own Virginia blends to stow away for years.
