I like it when the Latakia is woven into a blend in a more subtle way, no bomb, as is true,

in my opinion, with Dunhill Mixture 965 and Nat Sherman 536, and probably some others

I've tried and many others I haven't. Same with Perique; I like it as a note, but not as the

predominant flavor. Still, as mentioned, a bowl of Nightcap is mighty fine and plenty Lat.

I managed to pick up some daVinci by C&D over the summer, it did not last me long, now my favorite blend. Anybody know any good blends available here in Europe that are really Latakia heavy like daVinci? can't get C&D over here, such a shame!

Without a doubt C&D Pirate Kake has the most latakia of any blend I have smoked.

Have pretty much all of the above, save the Comoy's DoubleEng, in the Top200 Cellar. There's another Latbomb with quite a kick, the aptly named Bow Legged Bear. Also Park Lane's Bengal, which is modeled after the extinct Bengal Slices, is in there somewhere, as well as Lancer's Slices.

+1 on SG Commonwealth Mixture. Half Latakia, half VA and delicious ( read "pallatable" or "suitable for smoking on a regular basis" ). I find a lot of the others, except Penzance, and especially the C&D products, to be rather rough tasting ( perhaps the Burley? )
