IMG_6035.jpegI’m not sure if you mean best shape or best line of pipes. The best shape is whichever one catches your eye.

My favorite Savinelli line by far is the Tre (filterless) line. I even have a Punto Oro and I think I still slightly prefer the Tre line because the buttons are the same on them all. These 5 pipes are my Savinellis and they’re all from the Tre line except for the one with the brass dot. Two of them are the 626 bent apple shape, which I’m fond of.

Let us know the shapes and styles you like and we could probably help you more.

My best smoking Savinelli is an oom paul, but it's not a style most people like so I would never recommend it to most pipers.

I've been eyeing a Savinelli for years.

It's gonna be their 150th anniversary in 2026 and I'm hoping they have something up their sleeves to celebrate.

It’s my understanding that planning for the 150th Anniversary pipes was already in the works around 2022–2023; some very special stuff is supposedly in the works—I need to start setting some money aside.

I always have a pipe with me at work that I smoke on breaks and on my way to work. One of my coworkers asked me where one of my Savinellis was from. I told her it was an Italian company called Savinelli that has been around for something like 140 years. She was shocked to hear how long they’d been around. I pulled it up on google and realized that next year is indeed the 150th year anniversary. What an incredible feat that is.

Couldn't tell you what the best one is as I've had limited exposure to Savinelli pipes. I will say the Savinelli 606 KS might be my new favorite pipe/shape. I just love the way it smokes and feels in my hand. The one pictured is the 2023 Saint Nicholas version but they have many different varieties of colors and finishes. If you have a pipe shop nearby I'd stop by and just hold a few different shapes and finishes to see how they feel to you in your hand. I prefer a straight billiard, but the 606 KS might just change that for me.

I have over a dozen Savinellis and they are all fine smokers. My Autographs probably smoke the best, though the two I have use a strongly tapered chamber which makes it a little hard to smoke down to the heel.

If you are asking what are Savinelli's best made pipes, then you'll want to look at the Autograph line, the Giubileo d' Oro line, and Punto Oro line. As for the shape, that's up to you and your preference. My favorite shapes are: 616KS, 645KS, and 673KS.

Personally, I think even the lower tier Savinelli pipes are well made pipes and great smokers. One of my favorite pipes is my 645KS bent apple Short Pipe was purchased for $55 back in 2010. Still one of my best smoking pipes.

I’m considering getting a Savinelli but don’t know which one, send pics too!

Questions for you -
What shape(s) appeal most to you ?
And what is your budget ?
Without knowing the above, it‘s a big ask making specific recommendations

Look up theSavinelli website to see the shapes available
Then look at their various lines to see which finish appeals to you
You can narrow your search if you specify your budget

You might consider a Rossi which is a Savinelli sub-brand.
Rossi have many shapes in common with Savinelli, but at lower prices
