I have finally found an aromatic I enjoy this month, after a years long search. I recently purchased, among other tins, a tin of C&D Black Frigate and it’s absolutely delicious!

I actually enjoyed it so much I ordered an 8 oz tin, which I never do, preferring to have many 2 oz tins for variety’s sake.

If anyone has any recommendation for any rum or whiskey touched blends that are similar, I’m all ears!

So far smoked once this month? Pipe that is. Squadron Leader in Peterson POTY 2020, I think. Or was that July? If the weather is good tomorrow, many another bowl of different tobacco in a different pipe, but you can bet on it it's gonna be a Peterson.

I’ve been smoking a bit of everything as per usual but I have really been enjoying Kendal Flake and some days this month that’s all I’ve smoked all day long. Last week my wife asked me why I’m smoking “that perfume smelling stuff” so often.

Answer: I don’t know.

I had my own homegrown blend come of age this month, so I have been a lot of my own Franklins Tower. It is made up of a couple of years of my own Virginia and some burley, with just a pinch of latakia. It has a slight diesel fuel aroma from the dark fermented burley used, but man does it taste good. I have had three jars of it since July.

Sounds delicious!

I have been on a brief but enjoyable hiatus to my cigars until today. Most enjoyed cigars were Camacho Triple Maduro and my all time favorite Flor de Antillias.

Discovered some Windjammer that I jarred right after it came out today and am enjoying it in a MM Country Gentlemen. It has been nice.

I have been smoking aromatics for a long time, Hazelnut by Lane or Maple Walnut by Sutliff.

People are always asking where the pancake/syrup aroma is coming from when I smoke the Maple walnut. LOVE IT

Usually with my 40 year old pipe from Italy, no other markings. Smokes like a dream.
