1952 was a most excellent year.I found the PM Pipe Babes to be a creepy nudge-nudge-wink-wink vestige, without any of the humor and bizarre frivolity of the original Pipe Babes.

Here they are
I remember seeing a RIGID TOOLS calendar somewhere, we might have had it pinned up the ship's workshop or engine control room, but the quote was "Happiness is a RIGID TOOL in your hand", with a very attractive lady holding a 36" pipe wrench.I found the PM Pipe Babes to be a creepy nudge-nudge-wink-wink vestige, without any of the humor and bizarre frivolity of the original Pipe Babes.

what a cutie."Wondering every day if they will remember to feed me is enough to worry about."View attachment 174758
or in other words crushed by the wave of competition.Ironic though if that is the case, with the amount of TNA on social media nowadays.
I'm sure none of the Pipes Babes were coerced into the photo-shoots. I for one think that all the photographs were done very tastefully. We're all big boys & gals and if one doesn't like it, hey! don't look.I found the PM Pipe Babes to be a creepy nudge-nudge-wink-wink vestige, without any of the humor and bizarre frivolity of the original Pipe Babes.

I kind of agree with this. I'm not speaking from any position of offense - in another of my interests (the warbird world), art ranging from cheesecake pinup to practically pornographic is ubiquitous. But this section of the site always had a weird vibe to me; awkward. The models always gave me the impression they were trying hard NOT to give me the impression of how confused they were that they were being asked to pose with these things . It just never felt like it really worked. Just my opinion though.I found the PM Pipe Babes to be a creepy nudge-nudge-wink-wink vestige, without any of the humor and bizarre frivolity of the original Pipe Babes
Yeah it always felt awkward and out of place. It also felt confused like it was trying to be at least two different things that ended up under cutting the other one. On one hand it felt like it was trying to be inclusive in saying this isn't an activity just for old men, look youngish ladies do it too. But then the softest core titillating and fetishizing of look it's a hot girl and she's smoking da pipe. And nothing wrong in my opinion with either of those but putting them together just leaves (to me) a muddled confused why. I never felt like it worked and in defense of that stance every single time it comes up here, while a good number of people support it and say nothing wrong with it, the number of people saying it was something I dig and wish was still happening is super scant. While the majority seem to say what we're saying to some extent or another. And that is don't miss it, seemed weird and pointless, and never enjoyed it.I kind of agree with this. My reply was none of that.I'm sure none of the Pipes Babes were coerced into the photo-shoots. I for one think that all the photographs were done very tastefully. We're all big boys & gals and if one doesn't like it, hey! don't look.
Unfortunately, in today's world, somebody somewhere is going to be offended by something. I'm not suggesting that you were, but there's always somebody ready to complain.
Ergo, we are where we're at!
