I constantly get email promotions from PC. I will take a look even though my cellar is complete. 8 dollar tins of Escudo is a hell of a deal. When CI took over they did raise prices, fortunately I had bought all my tins before the take over and got some real good deals. Tins of Old Dark Fired went for 9.95 when on sale.

It's been forever since I have seen $8 Escudo deals.
And, then there's always the Sutliff buy one get five tins for free deal, ha ha. It's always tempting, but I always have a hard time picking a flavor that I'm not going to taste anyways.

The more local tobacco taxes go up, the more local B&M's get put out of business, so the major online sellers have less need to run sales. Plus sooner or later Washington will enact a federal sales tax and the price of everything online will go up drastically, especially tobacco products, as those will get the most public support for heavy taxation. So online tobacco sellers probably figure they better get while the getting's good.

When did CI buy P&C? I know they've been in the same facility for a while but I thought they just shared a facility and shared shipping staff.

We were purchased by CI in 2013, but the company has undergone restructuring, so we are now sister companies which operate independently.

Cigars international bought them. Another buyout to increase girth and raise prices don't look for any deals soon.

Au contraire, mon ami. P&C is far from being a monopoly, and has to contend with some serious competition from several sides. As such, they always have multiple items on sale.
One simply needs to look.

R, I don't recommend their bundled pipe sets like this... I've bought a few of them from P&C over the years and they are just a disappointment.

I have noticed P&C stocking up on a lot of cheap name brand bucket pipes over this last year. So, I guess they have to do something with them.
