A few years back there was a Forums member who delivered sail and power boats to buyers, made some really nice, pipes, had a drop-dead gorgeous wife and daughter, and whose posts I always enjoyed. Unfortunately, I simply can't recall his User Name. Do any of you remember this gentleman? If so, who was he, and what ever happened to him? I wonder...

georged and davidintexas for the combined win: Zach is correct! His last name is Hamric, and he's even listed in pipedia.org. Here's the link to his citation there.

This is Zach with his wife Greta:

So, my original question still stands: What ever happened to him?

He lost interest in pipe making after discovering how difficult it was to meet high grade standards/expectations, and selling what he was able to produce for the prices people offered for them was unacceptable.

Huh, I’ve been going through the Radio Show backlog lately and just came across the (one of the?) episode he was interviewed on, #169. Seemed like a fun hang!
