I've used several of the type set-ups you all are using. They all work great. One day I'll pick up a nicer case, hopefully one of the homemade bags I've seen made, but as said, they can be very pricey. Of course then I'll have to sell the one I have, as I won't need two big ones. :)

I have a leather case with 3 loops and a removable tobacco holder. I would like to get a bigger one, maybe a 6 pipe holder. I'm dumbfounded on some of the prices for pipe bags, upwards to 300 bucks???

I use a small, single pipe fabric case for regular travel. I like it because I can slip it into my pants pocket so it doesn't look like I'm carrying a man-purse. I did get the same Peterson 2 pipe, leather bag like Jimbo, but haven't had cause to use it yet. It is very nice for the small investment. I bought the Large size, which can hold my largest freehands. It is purse-like....

I converted a zippered leather organizer. I just removed the calender part. Works great for 3 or 4 pipes!

I have a 5 pipe case that works well for me. Big enough to carry all I need for at least a day's worth of smoking.

I use a smaller zippered bible case. It works nicely for shorter trips.

For long trips I have a roll up pocket knife case that buckles rolled that I use. I can put up to 10 pipes in it if I stagger them just right.

I use a zippered pouch that came with my shaving kit. Big enough for 2-3 pipes, depending on the amount of bend, and a couple zip lock bags of baccy. I usually bring way more baccy then I need and line the pouch with the bags. It ends up wrapping the baccy around the pipes protecting them. Has worked great for almost a year now.

Re purposed makeup bag...Its a black canvas deal and I can hold 3oz baccy in separate oz's, pipe cleaners, and two pipes. The inside has a water resistant liner meant to protect her makeup. It even looks fancy because it has an Italian name! Best part is that it was part of a 3pc set she had no used for it but remembered where she stowed it away.

My main movers are a 8/16 Smokin Holsters Ultimate Pipe Bag, a KU Design 14 pipe briefcase, a Dunhill (Wess?) 5 pipe case and a very cool little Castello 2 pipe bag. 8O

I have several 6 pipe leather bags, a leather roll up, a Marble Arch English leather bag with shoulder strap and a large Sheffield Exchange bag with shoulder strap. Mostly though I use an REI messenger bag with shoulder strap that is probably nylon. If I go to a show, I take the roll up as well.

I use a leather Savinelli 5 pipe bag locally. I'm traveling this weekend and for the extra protection, and I dragged along some churchwardens, I use a poker chip case that I removed the racks and added some eggcrate type foam padding. It is just the right size for any long pipe and the bents go in fine with the foam holding everything firm. It is a hardcase so I don't worry about breaking stems and stuff.

It depends...

If I'm traveling or .... well traveling I have a nice little 4 pipe leather travel case w/ a smallish zippered baccy pouch that snaps in and out.

(I bought it to carry the Cavicchi brothers.)

If I'm going to be tooling around town or will just be spending the day in my man cave; I use a $6 black leather roll up. I use it on a daily basis (as I have for the last several years). I'll load a days supply of 1Q and dipper in to that rather than open the jar repeatedly through the course of the day.

this is my pvc 4 pipe case. it looks and feels like leather, but unfortunately it ...its not. reguardless, it does exactly what i need it to do lol. i only use it to carry 2 pipes for the day, then i use the third slot for pipe cleaners, and the fourth slot, for 2 vials of my snuff. then my cocobolo wooden snuff box fits in there nicely too. it also has a zippered area for 2 pipe tools, lighters, and i keep extra zippo flints in there too.

I have a Peterson 2 pipe carrier. I've started traveling only with my Falcon, 2-3 bowls, and a MM Cob.

I think I have tried 'em all and am broke to prove it.
Nothing works as well as a roomy Doff Kit with a couple of zippered pockets built-in. Easy to find stuff and still compact. You can get a good one for less than $20.00.
