Just wondering what everyone else uses to transport either their pipes or tobacco, or both. I've always wanted a nice handmade pipe bag, but can't really afford one.
I do have several of the single combo pipe/tobacco pouches, but they can be cumbersome when you have several. So last year when I was in the area of the Vegas Pipe Show, I stopped in and was able to pick up a nice 11 pipe leather pipe bag from Monjure International. It looks good and works great.
So, what do you all use?

I've used all sorts of pipe bags over the years, but right now I'm using a large satchel from Saddleback Leather. Perfect for pipe shows, it can fit a dozen pipes, a half dozen tins, plus pockets for lighter, pipe cleaners, etc.

Been looking at getting an actual pipe bag for when i go abroad but as that's getting less and less with work i can't really justify it right now.

So for the moment it gets transported in a Nikon Speedlight case which holds a couple of pipes and then a couple of tins in whichever bag i'm carrying at the time.
Not too pretty but it does the job fine :)

It seems as though I am odd man out once again.

One pipe, with one tobacco means I only have to carry one pouch...simplicity in, and of itself.

have a big camera leather padded shoulder strap case that can handle just about all of my pipes, accessories and tobbaco.

also a stiff zippered shaving kit pouch that does nicely too.

in either case, put tobacco in zip lock bags.

bought those little pipe bags that come with most new pipes for 50 cents each for extra protection.

I have three bags, a really nice leather Comoy 7 pipe bag, a no name 2 pipe church warden bag and a no name 2 pipe bag. I haven't gone on a long enough trip to use the 7 pipe on yet.

I use a military issue canteen pouch. The one I have has one large pocket and one small pocket.

In the large pocket normally goes 1 or 2 tins. Right now there is a tin of Club Blend and a tin of OGS. Also in the large pocket are matches, a zippo, cleaners (in a toothbrush holder), and a handkerchief (I roll this up in a donut and it serves as my stand), and a Leatherman Micra. I use the Micra mainly to trim flakes.
I only have room in the small pocket for 2 maaaaybe 3 pipes.

I keep a couple of cut nails stuck in the webbing on the outside. These are my standard tamps.

I have a case very similar to the one Kevin has. I'd almost like to get one a little bigger, however, 4-5 pipes on a trip seems to suit me fine. This past weekend when we went to the mountains, Cyndi and I took almost all of our tobacco along to the cabin. Just found one of those canvas/nylon coolers and toted that up there with enough pipes for each of us. I think we got pics, so I'll try to get them loaded soon.

Haven't done too much travelling with the pipes. However, in anticipation of an upcoming camping trip, I've modified a small fishing tackle box to hold a cob and a couple of those cheap MM Ozark Mountain Hardwood pipes. The setup will hold three pipes in separate compartments, room for about four one ounce baggies of different tobaccos in two of the other compartments and a final compartment for pipe cleaners, filters, tool, lighter and matches.

I like my zip-around Peterson 2-pipe bag for weekend trips. It's quality black leather, with loops for a pipe tool, 2 pipes, and a small tobacco pouch (snaps out for carrying). There's space for pipe cleaners and a cloth. It's just what I've needed for years to toss into a suitcase.

An 11 Pipe Bag? Cool, man. All I have is a Peterson 2 Pipe Bag. It works great, but I definitely need a larger one or a few more just like the one I have.
