It's what you like that matters! If you are new to pipes then I suggest you go with something a little easier on the pocket. Stanwell and Savinelli both make great smoking pipes and won't put a major dent in the wallet. Get you a bent, a straight, and a few in between until you find what suits you best. You may also go to the estate market, there are lots of bargains out there! But we can't be the judge of what YOU like, only you can do that.

The Watson is a great shape, but this one will have been dip stained, because of the price range. Stain in the air passage will take a while to overcome and break in. I say, find something else.

I like the Pete Kinsale, I own only 1 full bent and I'm happy with mine. Go with you gut, look around and find something you like and are happy with.
