with the weak Eruo now may be a good time to buy
Thanx much for the link. There are definitely a few pipes I'd like to have, but the Euro has to get a whole lot weaker before I could afford the ones I'd like.

Very pretty looking grain, and it looks like care went into making it a very light pipe without sacrificing too much of the briar that surrounds the bowl.
It looks like it would have taken a delicate hand, for sure.
Obviously, the work of a talented craftsman, and looks like it would be an awesome clencher.

Thank you very much for the kind comments on this pipe. It´s really great to see this piece from your different points of view. When I saw it first, I really did not like it that much - the contrast stain, the ring, and the shape of that bowl is honestly not, what I usually like. But then I touched it and instantly developed an affection. That´s what it is for me with pipes - I really love to feel them.
Even if I know of course, that Thomsens workshop in Berlin is really far away from where most of you live - to visit that store is certainly the best way to buy his pipes, once you´re sitting at the table in his workshop / store, most prices are definately negotiable and, by the way, sometimes some residents from the US show up, just to have a little talk. So, if you ever visit Berlin, Thomsens store is a nice place to be.
