Dear Pipesmokers,
I am quite certain, the German carver Nils Thomsen is not very well established in the US and Canada, but to me, he´s the pipe maker in the neighbourhood, and I enjoy hanging around and talking about pipes, the world and everything else in his workshop a lot. Thomsen has been "pipe maker of the year" here in Germany in 2007.
I bought the following pipe last year. It´s 6,29" long, 1,77" high, Ø 0,82" and it weights 42 grams. The stem is ebonite, has an extremely wide-bore fisfhtail bit, that feels partuculary comfortable.
To cut a long story short - I´d be honestly interested to hear what you think about this pipe.
_____________
By the way, the zebu horn tamper shown in the first picture is made by Thomsen as well.
Kind regards
Thilo
