What do you snack when you smoke?

I don't eat when I smoke. I even brush my teeth before lighting my pipe.

I personally think eating while smoking would detract from the experience. I've always got a cup of tea or coffee though.

I just don't see the point in snacking while I smoke. The only reason I can see to do this is to mask the taste of the smoke... kinda makes smoking pointless. Just my beverage of choice for me while I smoke. Usually coffee, but sometimes a cola or beer, or cider. Maybe a rum or whisky on occasion. However, I do see the benefit of having chocolate nearby just in case you get hit with a nicobomb.

Eating while smoking? Never for me. It takes away from the flavor and will give you a terrible aftertaste. I do however like an ice water or hazelnut coffee with my pipe. The cold water really brings out the nuances of some tobaccos. Water can turn PA into a lively experience.

Cold water also refreshes the mouth, minimizing the risk of tongue burn. Especially important for the novice pipe smoker.
Tea and coffee I agree, taste great. Again, novices beware, if you are puffing too hard and too frequently, and also have a hot drink, you may be burning your tongue without noticing.

I don't think I've ever eaten any snacks while smoking, but I do enjoy a black cup of coffee whenever I have a morning pipe.

I cannot speak for how pipes verses cigarettes affects everyone, but playing with my wife's blood glucose monitor, mine drops severely when I get the nicotine buzz, which is only after strong blends. She went through a period of poking me like a voodoo doll every chance she got hoping I too was diabetic. But, alas it is only after strong blends that my sugars react. Thus, the touch of chocolate stops my spins. YMMV

I usually don't eat while smoking my pipe, either. But if I do start it'll be bacon; just so I can be smoking and eating bacon and really piss off somebody at the W.H.O. :mrgreen:
