Over the years, since discovering it in the late '90s, I've smoked BF in various cobs and briars. In early 2013, however, I commissioned my first Bruce Weaver piece specifically for BF. While I still enjoy it in a Mark Twain cob that I have set aside for it, I enjoy Black Frigate best in my Weaver volcano. What's everyone else smoking BF in?

I haven't zeroed in on special pipes. Black Frigate doesn't seem to be a fussy blend. It goes in medium bowl bulldogs and billiards, or wider bowl pots and authors. I think it would go great in a cob. It's full-strength so makes its presence know from any pipe, so far.
