What do you do with your empty tins?

I have smoked pipes for 30 years but only smoked bulk tobacco until recently when I picked up some tins at the Chicago Pipe Show. I'm about to empty my first one and wondered what do you do with your empty tins? Any creative uses out there?

Normal one, I just threw them away. Have already thrown a couple of tins. Nice one, I keep. But still don't know what to do with them yet.

The nice ones I keep. Store paperclips , rubber bands etc. in them
My friend snitched my Frog Morton tins . You know; with the retarded looking frog drawing.
She much likes them to keep her smaller embroidery etc. stuff in.

I had 20 or more I had kept and not thrown away, for a while...

I made a little clock out of an EMP tin with a kit from Hobby Lobby as a gift once.

Ended up throwing loads away in the recycle quite a while back as I couldn't find a good decorative use for them, and those who like tobacco tin clocks are something of a minority...

*Can be used as little containers of oddball pieces in a garage or shop but I already have tons of little trays/shelves/containers for that...
*I've seen pics of them used as decoration when fastened to the wooden walls of a garage or similar, but mine isn't the "log cabin" style that they looked good on...

The only ones I've got in use now have a bunch of pennies in them so that my boys and I could use them playing card games when they were home from university over the holidays.

I shoved mine in a drawer in my workbench for some future unknown use.

I should probably throw them away, but they're pretty.

I have a handful I use for storing things, but only a handful. I just throw them in the recycling bin

I’ll think of something. Between shooting, hunting, archery, leather dabbling, the shop, the house, etc I’m sure there’s plenty of crap that I can store in them.
Currently I only use a 50gr tin for lubed wads and a 100gr tin for round ball for my black powder pistol for range trips, but the possibilities are endless.

I store dice in the cool looking ones and the ones I don’t care for I’ll use as an ashtray and eventually throw away.

Same as alcohol bottles I suppose... Most of the time I'll throw them out, but if it's a particularly nice one, I might keep it around. (I might be a hoarder though...)

I throw them away, I don’t see a use in keeping them since the logos are no longer painted on. I do keep a few c&d tins around for storage and such.
