I hold my empty tin in my hand and stand outside Harris's place and hope he will dip into his vast cellar and place a few escudo coins into the barren container.

I use them for miscellaneous tackle rigs that I create, and keep them with all my fishing gear. It is nice if I'm only going to use a few rigs in a secluded spot then I don't have to lug a bunch of gear with me.

I stack them up on the shelves in my man cave as decorations. Kinda like 100 bottles of beer on the wall.

The wife uses them to store arts and craft stuff. I use them as plates to burn candles on, keep my pipe stuff like tampers, pipe cleaners, bees wax, polishing clothes and I also use them to place a certain amount of tobacco in to dry for use. They are quite handy for screws, loose change, and to keep your pad or tad stash.

I just keep them in big cartoon boxes along with pipe boxes. Not sure what will do with them in the future but at least it is a good way to track my tobacco consumption... :)

My girlfriend kept a couple of the aromatic tins "because they smell nice!". After rinsing out a couple of English tins, we use them to store shampoo bars and fancy soaps in the shower. The rest hit the recycling box.

Throw them in the trash.
I saved a few back in the day thinking I would find a use for them. Never did.

Using them for change is a good idea. I have a nice clay change holder I made in art class in the 10th grade. It's got a spot for change, a spot for bills, and a spot for my wallet or something random.

I would like to see pics of the tables that are going to be made out of them

One more idea in the hiking/survival theme is building an alcohol stove out of a tin. I'm probably going to do this using a 100g MacBaren round tin. I'll try and get some pics up once I get this put together.

Man I'm so tempted to buy empty tins off you regular pipe smokers, I love tobacco tins and I don't smoke often enough to really go through many. I would take them off your hands . . .

I wouldn't mind having about ten or fifteen of the rectangular flake tins if anyone wants to unload some. I'm dabbling in making my own flake and medallions. I'd be happy to pay a small price and, of course, any shipping involved. PM me (I'm new here. Is the PMing?)
