What do you do with a Blend you do not like?

I have one of those big containers of Half & Half I'll probably never smoke. So, I'll either leave it and come back to it when I'm 99 to reminisce about when I first smoked half & half, or get my post count up so I can trade or give to one of you guys.

Well, for the Half & Half, you could get an ounce or two of Perique or Latakia and blend in and let it age for a couple months and see what happens. Or just mix it and try it now. Never know what a little kickstart from one of these can do. I have done it.

I either throw it out or try my hand at mixing bits of it here and there. The blend I find just down right nasty is Borkum Riff yuk!!!!!!

In another thread, the light bulb came on, I will take whatever god awful blends I do not like to my local shop to help clear my mind from the samples I have had.

hi Eric, yes I am posting a little here and there. Yes I am still shy but trying. So far the Borkum Riff is the only tobacco I find awful.

I usually bring them to my local pipe club meeting and set them out for sampling and hope that someone likes it. Then I usually just give it to them or trade them for something that they bring.

I put them up for trade if it's something that doesn't agree with me ( such as blends with Red VA )and I just can't smoke them. If they are crappy to begin with, I have a neighbor that will smoke anything .....
