The cabinet was sounding the alarm this morning when I got up, so as I was filling the reservoir I noted this Varina Farms Breakfast Blend.
These have several years of age on them. On the mild side, but still robust enough to keep it interesting.

Getting ready to fire up this La Flor Dominica “Chapter One “........ I bought these in 2016 or 2017. They were a bit harsh then, we’ll see what a few years in the humi has done for them.........
Just finished a Dapper El Borracho Toro. A very nice cigar, plenty of flavor and complexity, but not in your face. Refined. Some Old Grand-Dad 114 on the side.
A few years in the humidor will tame cigars... Sometimes that may be a good or a bad thing.
I've had fresh cigars that were extremely strong - I'm talkin cold sweats and dizzy, and that usually doesn't happen with me. After a few years they were wonderful.
Cigars with a high nicotine content tend to age better in the long run.
Age has definitely improved this cigar. The rough edges are gone. Full flavored nic bomb- but it’s almost too much- 2 hours and 20 minutes in and it’s still as long as my bic lighter! This is a 3 hour cigar, good but not great. First 3rd was excellent, 2nd third was mediocre, and this final 3rd is great- creamy and rich but I’m getting fatigued!A few years in the humidor will tame cigars... I like em when they get down to the last 1/3rd and taste salty - like Finnish licorice - Salmiakki.
That’s a great way to describe this one! About two years ago I ordered a bunch of Finnish salmiaki- straight from Finland, Man, I loved it! Now I’m tasting it in this cigar LOL!!
3 hours is just too much for me....... give me this in a lonsdale or something about 1-1/2 hours and it would be perfect.
It's your concentration that focuses the tobacco experience, and there are limits to it. Certainly 3 hours is a very long smoke.

Agreed- a very rich and tasty cigar, but man- 3 plus hours?? Would be a great vacation cigar!
I’ve had a few Rocky Patels that did that......... pissed me off a bit
Slice it up and dry it out, mix it with a blend and shove it in a bowl...
