A very tasty cigar

It is. I used to smoke them when I was first starting out as they had just hit the market and were quite popular. I got lost in the world of Habanos and Dominicans until recently when I was gifted this. The flavor of grains is right where I remember it and is very approachable for a Nicaraguan, which often taste like little more than earth, pepper, and wood to me. Those notes are here, but there is much more going on

Smoking a My Father no 4 Lancero someone sent me. Haven't had a My Father in quite a long time as I don't particularly care for their blends. This was a nice change of pace with an herbal element that reminded me at times of Perique, but all in all, there was a consistent bitter finish that I did not like at all.

Unfortunate that it did not go well;
Flying over the aromas that everyone has in memory, and that often emerge when smoking tobacco, I remember it spicy on the retrohale and a note of citrus on the palate, most of the time a pleasant smoke.
Really, sometimes on the finish it breaks down and can take on a bitter taste
