I bought a PerfecDraw tool a few weeks ago, and since then I did not get a plugged cigar (Until today)
I typically do not do a cold draw and even if I did, I would probably not know if a cigar was plugged, but when I found the cigar was plugged, I bored the cigar clumsily. It did not look like the video tutorials at all. However it worked. I now have a perfect draw

There’s no cage! The bear came over the fence and I bolted in the house. I took the pic from inside the doorway and included my abandoned smoke. I did slowly sneak out to grab my beer though.Yep, that’s a bear

One thing I've learned- a tight predraw does not necessarily mean I should start drilling.
Sometimes, they open up after lighting.
Sometimes I'll throw it in the 62rh box for a while and that fixes things
Other times, it's obvious that an area between head and band is the trouble spot. A single drill-pull usually fixes this*
*I've been told this is from inexperienced rollers applying too much thumb pressure. I don't know if this is actually true but it makes logical sense to me

New Cuba Robusto this evening. First cigar in several days.
I fought this Andalusian Bull from start to finish. It was well kept with all my other cigars in my Aristocrat mini. I purchased it locally about a month ago and it was stored well there too. I thought it had excellent flavor when the wrapper burned with the rest of the cigar. The middle of the cigar was more densely packed and burned slower than the rest of it. Such a disappointment especially at that $20+ price point.
I had the exact experience with one. Very disappointing.
Just booked another Aruba trip for May 2026. Celebrating with an Aruhiba cigar made entirely with Aruban tobacco. I will be visiting the factory again.
What i will continue dreaming about for the next couple weeks until released back into the wild...
